Framework document: Relations between Russia and NATO: Lisbon Summit

Russia has gone in a few years from the Soviet Union to the Russian Federation. The practical changes for the Common Foreign and Security of the Russian Federation have been caused by changes in contextual factors external and internal context suffered by the nation. These changes, of great intensity from the dissolution of the Warsaw Pact and the disintegration of the USSR, will condition relations between Russia and NATO.
