Opinion documento: Destruction of Chemical Weapons Syrian: The war of numbers and letters

Although the Syrian declaration about its chemical stockpile to the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) is confidential, different official documents and statements of the OPCW, as well as media reports with information from personnel with access to the declaration, allow us to assess the identity and quantity of Syria´s chemical capability. This analysis can be used to assess also the destruction plan decided by the OPCW´s Executive Council in order to fulfill the US and Russia´s agreement reached on 14 September 2013 for the elimination of Syrian chemical weapons.
