Opinion document: Brazil, the prestige and the dilemma of nuclear power

In the present study the authors examine like a State that is part of a non-institutionalized regime of cooperation so called BRIC, provided with advanced nuclear technology and, at the same time, it affirms its pure desire to contribute to the construction of an international order based on International Law and the promotion of the universal and regional peace. This State, Brazil, might break by this way the regional balance of power and become the new hegemonic power “to the south of the Canal of Panama”. This thesis contains an adequate bibliography and documentary references.
