The Lord's Resistance Army (LRA) is one of Africa’s oldest, most violent, and longest lived armed groups. After a trend downward of its actions, the first quarter of 2016 have led to a sharp rise on their actions; they abducted more people in one month than in 2015. At the beginning of March 2016, the UN and the EU have included the LRA and their leaders in their respective Sanctions List.
