The Sinai: the keys of a brutal attack.-Emilio Sánchez de Rojas Díaz

On November 24, 2017, there was a terrorist attack in the city of Bir El-Abd, in the north of the Sinai Peninsula, which left at least 311 people dead and 128 wounded, including 27 children. 30 terrorists massacred the faithful leaving the Al-Rawda mosque after Friday noon prayer.

The cruelty is extreme, but no less surprising is the coldness with which it has been treated by the media, the same ones who dedicated rivers of ink to certain attacks in the United States or in Europe that left just a dozen victims.

The double standards are evident. In any case, it is necessary to carry out an analysis of the causes, justifications, strategies or support, which have allowed the execution of a complex attack in the middle of a counter-terrorist operation of the Egyptian Army.
