World War II. Hatching the propaganda comic.- Manuel García Ruiz

World War Two was the greatest conflict in History. All available resources of the different countries were put to work in the war effort. Governments pursued the info control to influence on society thinking and ideology, with the aim of both getting population’s support and maintaining troop morale. Already tested during the Great War, Comic, now in its Golden Age, rises as one of the tools with greater capabilities to achieve these goals: characters as popular as Superman, Captain America or Wonder Woman encourage soldiers at the front line and population in the rear. This article analyzes the propaganda comic, its effect and its real influence on society during WW2.
