The European Union is trying for more than a decade to change the energetic model to achieve a more sustainable and integrated system. To that, it has started a high number of plans, politics and legislative actions which, despite of its unequal success, have progressed in the consolidation of a common energetic strategy. In 2015, to strengthen the different action plans, the Commission announced the Energy Union, an ambitious project to guaranty an affordable, safety and sustainable energy through important advances in all dimensions of the energetic sector. Nevertheless, the implantation of these plans could trigger a change in the community foreign policy, reconfiguring several of the alliances and strategical association which EU has lately maintained.
