Samuel P. Huntington's article, The Clash of Civilizations ?, revisited twenty-five years later.- Ignacio J. García Sánchez

The document aims to analyze in detail the famous article by Samuel P. Huntington ―1927-2008―. He was professor at the University of Eaton and Director of the John M. Olin Institute for Strategic Studies at Harvard University. The importance of the article lies in that it marked the culmination of a Olin Institute's research project on the changing security environment and the American national interests.

The impact of the article was extraordinary with a debate on the new model of security and the character of future conflicts. A new paradigm that left no one indifferent, provoking reactions of all kinds.

One of the sequels, perhaps the most evident, it is the initiative of the United Nations, Alliance of Civilizations of the United Nations, launched on July 14, 2005 with the sponsorship of Spain and Turkey and based on the project presented by Spain in the General Assembly in September 2004.
