COVID-19: OSINT as early warning.- Clara Rodríguez Chirino.

This document maintains that the use of information from open sources could have served as early warning for the COVID-19 pandemic. Since the beginning of January 2020, warning intelligence should have detected this new challenge ―that has come in the form of an infectious disease― the planet is currently facing and that is posing, as expected by the intelligence community, a problem to safety. The document briefly compares COVID-19 with two other types of coronaviruses that have caused epidemics in the last two decades, such as SARS and MERS, and highlights that there is still no vaccine or specific treatment for these two respiratory diseases.
