The Strategic Agreement between Afghanistan and the U.S. (DIEEEA19-2012)

The strategic agreement between Afghanistan and the United States will make possible that a contingent of Americans and other NATO nations consultants, technicians and instructors remain in the country after2014. The security situation in the country, the need to avoid a new civil war or the return of the Taliban to the government as well as the economic future of the country make imperative this agreement . Moreover the agreement establishes a reasonable and pragmatic solution that would probably provide a proper end to the Afghan conflict.
