Chicago Summit. NATO-EU relationship (DIEEEA25-2012)

The NATO’s Chicago Summit held on 20th and 21st May, just after a G8meeting, has been developed under the influence of the European debt crisis with Spain, mainly, and Italy that could, if there is not any action, derail the Euro and seriously compromise, by the contagion effect, the reelection of U.S. President Barak Obama. In this scenario the references provided to the Summit of the relations NATO-European Union (EU) have been anticipated. The economic situation would affect in both ways the cooperative efforts of the "Smart Defence" and the "Pooling and Sharing"globe.
