The United Nations Reform: A necessary Debate in the Global Context (DIEEEINV11-2017)

This paper explores the debate about the need to reform the United Nations in order to be more effective at addressing most pressing global challenges faced by humanity. The analysis touches upon three interconnected issues: the current relevance of the principle of collective security to deal with global threats, most remarkable proposals for United Nations reform and the work of the new Secretary General within this context so far.
