U.S. strategic framework addressing radicalization and violent extremism (DIEEEO70-2012)

The United States has a comprehensive strategic system addressing radicalization and extremism, developed at different levels of action. A system that assigns clear powers and responsibilities to ITS actors. On the other hand, it helps to inform civil society about the threats and risks, actions taken, on the need for a collective commitment to promote a culture of security, and to strengthen national resilience.
In any case, concerns about Al Qaeda should not forget that there are other extremist movements, which also obey to patterns of radicalization, and that in an environment of global economic crisis could try to justify their violent actions.
