The success of the ISIS offensive on Iraq is largely due to a precise economic, social and media strategy. The latter aspect has been particularly revolutionary, and has become a major challenge for the government in Baghdad. First, its content has become professional, as many of its members come from the West and have a career in graphic design and cinema. Secondly, their communication is similar to those of companies and institutions in the United States or Europe, its militants master the language of social networks and know how to take advantage of them creatively and effectively. As a result, entire cities have surrendered to ISIS, radical Muslims in the West are interested in the organization and even join their ranks, and ultimately, the Islamic State is becoming the international leader of jihad, even ahead of Al Qaeda.
