Renewed attempt of Turkey as a regional power (DIEEEO46-2015)

Since the beginning of this decade, Turkey has had several ups and downs in their perception, not as a regional power, but as a regional big role to play, by the Arab world in the Maghreb and the Mashreq. Several internal and external issues have affected their makeovers. The elections on Sunday August 10, 2014 accounted not only a milestone in the history of the Turkish Republic (with the outgoing PM Erdogan, as expected, the first president elected by universal suffrage) but the attempt at a fresh start (reboot) of the formulas applied by the ambitious geopolitical ideas undertaken by the "oldest Muslim democracy" since the present decade. After the new Turkish President and in the near future, also could be assumed, with the passing of time, the emergence of new regional alliances plus the rebirth of Turkey as a pivot element in some policies for the neighborhood.
