Coup in Turkey: "Gift from God" & cracking Erdogam foreign policy (DIEEEO112-2016)

The attempted coup d'Êtat in Turkey last 15th of July has not only strengthen Erdogan's internal power, who labeled it as a "gift from God", but also could become a turning point in the current international relations' dynamics. Disappointed with Europe and United States' reaction to the coup, Turkey has reinforced its strategic freedom. The US and Europe are trying to keep solidarity with this important strategic partner, whereas Russia is taking advantage to maximize the tensions and contradictions in the Alliance. Not even the ever-requested extradition of Gülen, main reason of discontent, seems able to get the bilateral relationship to its previous condition. This could also just be an all-in of Erdogan to make the coup not only strengthen him internally, but also in foreign policy.
