Human Security in the Sahel: Vulnerability, Health Inequity and Armed Conflict, the case of Mali (DIEEEO32-2016)

In general, from a developmental perspective, Mali and the countries of the Sahel region are considered the world's poorest. Particularly in terms of health, a high percentage of the Malian population is in serious vulnerability.
UN Human Security Doctrine shares with the comprenssive approach its multidimensionality. Health being one dimension, the study of the social determinants of this can contribute to a better understanding and integration with the rest of the dimensions in the genesis of armed conflicts.
