The C2&CIS framed in military missions in EU CSDP ( EUTM - Somalia ) (DIEEEO90-2016)

In the frame of the European Union (EU), the military part is one of the capabilities attempting to be strengthen. In turn, one of the most important debates that have arisen is the military command and control model within the EU.

Unlike other organizations, the EU has not defined a complete and permanent military command and control structure. Therefore, it is needed to specifically define the chain of command to ensure the successful planning and execution of such missions.

The Communication and Information Systems (CIS) are one of the most important elements used to materialize the chain of command.

Along this document, we will talk over the importance of these two concepts, Command &Control and CIS, applied to the Training Mission that EU is developing in Somalia.
