Over the last twenty years Iran was characterized by an extraordinary internal stability if we take into account conflict development along its borders. The Iranian government, with Hassan Rouhani as its President, has decided to support the nuclear accord that would help the country to reintegrate into the world economy. However, the change of government in the United States at the beginning of 2017 has strained the relations between two countries. Facing a dismembered Middle East, Iran will have to make serious decisions that will have an enormous influence on the regional balance of power.
