2015: Year of the Summits of Sustainable Development (DIEEEM31-2015)

The year 2015 might well be dubbed the "Year of the Summits of Sustainable Development". The MDG agenda ended on this note and the Sustainable Development Goals are taking over just from there. Putting both programs side by side, we can see a basic continuity, though there is a change in tone according to the main preparatory documents. By 2030, the success of Development Cooperation will depend to a large extent on the establishment of reliable, stable and transparent institutions. However, once the roadmap is drawn and the required resources assigned, it will be necessary that the leaders carry out their duties responsibly and implement what has been agreed upon.
