Strategic Intelligence and Economic Security in Spain (DIEEEO85-2011)

As a result of the transition from geopolitics to geoeconomics, where global financial flows could materially affect National Security, there is a need to increase the economic intelligence capabilities of the State, expecially those related with strategic intelligence and early warning. In this context, the need to anticipate hostile actions directed against the geoeconomic interests of Spain and the movement of key economic indicators in an incomplete information environment becomes a vital requirement for the intelligence client in its decision making process.
