UN adopted the mission of the EU in Central African Republic (DIEEEA09-2014)

On 20th January, the Foreign Affairs Council of the European Union approved the crisis management concept of a military operation in the Central African Republic: EUFOR RCA, which aims to help stem the serious conflict this country suffers since March 2013. After submitting the application for authorization to the United Nations, the Security Council passed Resolution 2134, which supports the deployment of this operation «within the limits of its capacity and deployment zone» for a period of six months. In the meantime, the Council of European Union will decide on the final launch of this new military mission in Africa.
