Food security and regional imbalances (DIEEEO47-2012)

International organizations and states, among which includes Spain were concerned by the shortage of food in the world, both in quantity and quality, as they constitute a risk to security, international stability and development. The attempt to control the food market has been linked with him from the beginning, partnering the Latin concept of "Securitas" the wheat supply of the metropolis, a fact which has been corroborated throughout history, from the development system "Pósitos" in our country to the current Common Agricultural Policy of the European Union or Russia's interest in becoming a guarantor of food security worldwide.
Climate change, agricultural policies, the biofuels, or the possible contamination of food, coupled with the economic crisis are contributing to rising prices and the development of food crises that are the origin of complex emergencies. Which motivates it is necessary to make an international effort to prevent the development of crisis.
