Latin America: Challenges for integration in security and defense (DIEEEO53-2013)

Even though nowadays in Latin America the cooperation and the consensus is favoured to face the new threats to the safety, in the long term still remains to implement common effective measures. In this regard, the purpose of this article is to provide an overview of the challenges in the field of security and defence that are faced by regional integration organisms in Latin America.
