The subject Armed Forces and Cooperation for Development is highly topical, by the significant presence of the armed forces in the international arena by performing peacekeeping missions. In addition, the coincidence of the Armed Forces and the civil organizations on the same stage often is not associated with a functional division of powers. This paper examines this phenomenon, emphasizing the importance of co-development as the key in economic and social stabilization. The co-development, if it’s understood in this way, could be the tool that the European Economic Community needs for the Mediterranean southern border stabilization.
