Fundamentalism, Salafism, Sufism, Islam, Wahhabism (DIEEEO88-2015)

Religious practices, almost as old as humanity, have been settling in according to the different societies and cultural parameters. The birth of major religions has left an enormous legacy of doctrines, rituals, art forms and concepts. To understand and analyze any of these religions is necessary to define their internal terms and the reason why they are used. The growth in the use of religious vocabulary both in academia and in the media, creates the necessity to the review their meaning for an appropriate use of terminology in each religious / cultural scene. The application of these terms by numerous countries and states, groups and organizations as well as the integration of religion with politics makes, necessary the analysis of these concepts.
