Informative document: Preparing the European Council in December 2013: Report on CSDP

On October 15th, Catherine Ashton, High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Head of the European Defense Agency, issued her report on the Common Security and Defense Policy. That report proposes to reinforce the above mentioned common policy in three areas: increasing its visibility, improving European defense capabilities and reinforcing the European defense industry. This IEEE Document offers the principal aspects of lady Ashton´s report that will be used as a basis for discussions by the next European Council in December.
