Taliban and Peace in Afghanistan, joined by the uncertainty.- David Corral Hernández

Masters of Afghanistan from 1996 to the US-led invasion in 2001, the Islamic fundamentalist regime of the Taliban has been considered for two decades one of the greatest threats to global security. Today, with the loss of its charismatic leader, with its new leader in question, worn from the air by us drones and fighting in land with the Afghan security forces and the increasingly active Islamic State, the Taliban are struggling to win while struggling not to lose. Among the first victims, a promising peace talks with the Afghan government that have been, suddenly, silenced.
