The origins of terrorism in Pakistan.- Emilio Sánchez de Rojas Díaz

Pakistan has been described as the most dangerous place in the world. One reason for this is the devastating terrorism. Moreover, the presence of sectarian, non-sectarian, religious, nationalist and ethnic terrorist violence causes Pakistan to be a unique case in the discourse of terrorism. Radicalization in the tribal areas covering the broad border area between Pakistan and Afghanistan has had great importance in the situation of insecurity and uncertainty in the country.

During the decade of the nineties, violence has an ethnic and sectarian character, and the center of gravity of the terrorist attacks moves to Karachi. Since the beginning of this century to the present, an essentially rural and tribal terrorism occurs, especially in the tribal belt surrounding the border with Afghanistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan and FATA áreas
