Oil is a product known since ancient times, which replaced coal but still has not found a source of energy that serves to their replacement because its high efficiency ratios. Oil and its derivatives give rise to complex geopolitical games. Not only the reserves, transportation, the extraction techniques ... But everything related to energy affects to the framework of relations among states.
