EUFOR - CAR : Participation of Spain in the Central African crisis.- Working Group

On 30TH March 2016, with the inauguration of President Faustin Archange Touadéra, Central African Republic opens a new period of its turbulent history, which so far has been marked by lawlessness, violence, underdevelopment and the absence of a true and inclusive national project. Since independence in 1960, the becoming of this African country has been a chain of coups and despotic governments, and armed insurgencies for power and resources, which have spread violence and instability throughout  the region. On many occasions, a convulsive scenario gestated outside its borders with the connivance and for the interest of neighboring countries.
