Participation in Operations' (UN) Peacekeeping (PKOs): Motivation States.- Juan Alberto Mora Tebas

The involvement of UN Member States in Peacekeeping Operations (PKOs) is not automatic and is motivated by several reasons which can sometimes become antagonists. How to explain the countries criteria changes to participate or not in PKOs?. This article analyses the various reasons that lead some States to participate in such operations within the framework of the United Nations, taking into account some academic studies. In this context, it is included an analysis of two almost antagonistic cases: China and Ethiopia.
