The independence of Kurdistan and its impact on the stabilization of the conflict in Syria.- Miguel Ángel Pérez Franco

The Syrian war is reconfiguring the international scenario in the Middle East. The Kurds of northern Syria have established a semi-autonomous region that works as a de facto state. In Iraq, the Kurds have challenged Baghdad by holding a referendum to gain independence. The International Community is witnessing the events with suspicion and different regional dynamics are emerging facing the challenge. An independence from Kurdistan could fuel further the fighting in the conflict in Syria. Is time for a Kurdish nation? How the Kurdistan independence could affect the stabilization of the Syrian conflict?
