Nicaragua at the crossroads: from the Hybris syndrome to the convulsion that does not stop.- María Luisa Pastor Gómez

Nicaragua has experienced a very turbulent situation for the last two months, with several demonstrations to protest against the government of President Daniel Ortega and his wife, Vice President Rosario Murillo. As a result, the number of victims increases and the Nicaraguan Bishops' Conference arbitrates a Dialogue between the government and a broad spectrum of civil society in order to approve a road map for the advancement of general elections while Ortega resists, so as to gain time to ensure his stay in power as much as possible.
