Deglobalization and global pandemic.- Mario Laborie.

Globalization has shaped the intense political, economic and cultural transformations in the world in recent years. Such has been the magnitude, depth and scale of the changes that all individual and social aspects of human relations have been altered.
Today, these changes are compromised by the emergence of deglobalization. While the global order is being redefined, a retreat of the West as a globalizing model can be observed. All this has crucial consequences for world politics and economy.
This article, which has just been written at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, reviews the main characteristics of the growing wave of deglobalization and analyses some of the implications that this pandemic may have for global trends.

Mario Laborie. Artillery Colonel DEM. PhD in International Security.
