Repensando el terrorismo.- Federico Aznar Fernández-Montesinos

Terrorism has undergone a process of normalization since the emergence of mass media in the nineteenth century; in fact, it can be considered a constant with which developed societies coexist. It can be defined as the use of certain violence for the benefit of a concrete political project. It is, therefore, an illegitimate instrument of violence.

As a result, there is no international consensus on its definition. It is associated with war, asymmetric warfare, hybrid warfare, fourth generation wars and guerrilla warfare based on the use of systematic violence.
