Who's who in the management of a forest fires crisis? (DIEEEO80-2012)

The summer of 2012 has been particularly difficult in Spain, in what refers to forest fires. The severity of its consequences has been due not only to the largest number of fires compared to previous years, but also to the size of many of the fires, that have affected vast areas of land, important natural areas, buildings, infrastructure and especially human lives. While the responsibility for the forest policy, prevention and firefighting correspond to the regions, the magnitude and significance of the values at stake in these emergency situations make contribution required human and material resources belonging to all levels of government, all organizations and businesses, and even individuals.
