The impact that could have the new Iranian president Hassan Rohani in foreign and security policies of the Islamic Republic of Iran (DIEEEO61-2013)

In this paper, the author analyses the potential impact that could have the new Iranian president Hassan Rohani in foreign and security policies of the Islamic Republic of Iran. Then, he describes how Rohani came to power and his professional biography. After that, he analyses Rohani’s foreign policy approach and what powers are attributed to the president by the Iranian Constitution of 1979. Finally, the last part of the document deals with the main challenges in foreign and security policies that Rohani should face as a new president: the Iranian nuclear program, the regional stability in the Middle East and Diplomatic relations with the Unites States.
