Al Jazeera, the paradigm of the influence of a new communication concept (DIEEEO70-2013)

Since its foundation, in 1996, in the Emirate of Qatar, the Arab TV channel Al Jazeera has managed to place itself as one of the top members of the global communication elite and at the same time as the most influent and liable source of information for Arab viewers worldwide. Today , the impact of Al Jazeera in the so called ”Arab Spring” represents a paradigm of the new media phenomenon , perceived as the combination of global media, social networking and technology which is reshaping dramatically world politics.
