The Egyptian Neobonapartism (DIEEEO29-2014)

The coup of July 3, 2013 opened a new phase in the Egyptian transition in which, as in the past, the military take over running the country. The key to this new phase is whether Egypt goes towards an authoritarian regime, a kind of bonapartism, as it seems to be showing, or if instead a process of political opening free of reactionary temptations opens, both Islamist or of the Armed Forces.
