2014 Year of the Spanish Presidency of the 5 +5 Defence Initiative (DIEEEI09-2014)

One of the main aims of the Spanish foreign policy is to contribute to the stability and prosperity throughout the Mediterranean region. This target could be achieved adopting measures for the implementation of common standards for security. Dialogue 5+5 Defence focuses on cooperation and partnership among 10 countries located in the Western Mediterranean Region. Spain is the leader nation of the 5+5 Forum on 2014, when our country will propose a deeper development and a positive enhance of the initiative.
