The Summit of Heads of State of the G20 in Hangzhou, China (DIEEEI09-2016)

In 2016 the People's Republic of China has hosted the chiefs of state summit of G20, that has taken place on 4 and 5 September in the Chinese city of Hangzhou under the motto «an innovative, invigorated, interconnected and inclusive global economy». Despite the economic nature of the event, questions intimately related to peace, security and defence such as terrorism and its financing, armed conflicts and the problem of massive migrations have been dispatched. Spain, although not forming part of the group and being already represented in it by the European Union, has participated again in the event as an invited nation with a lecture in the session on economic growth.
