Ballistic missile defense. Possible participation of the F-100 Frigates (DIEEEM02-2012)

In the last NATO Strategic Concept, approved in the past Lisbon Summit, it has been included the goal to develop a missile defense capability to protect all NATO European populations, territory and forces. The ballistic missile threat and the nature of the specific problems to be resolved by the weapon systems are the central theme for this essay, as well as the ongoing lines of action to make an effective defense of the european territory and population, and the options to fit the F-100 frigates with this significant capability for the NATO alliance.
