Mali and the rest of the Western Sahel as a privileged scenario for Salafist Jihadist activism (DIEEEINV22-2017)

Mali, together with the other States belonging to the G5 Sahel (Burkina Faso, Chad, Mauritania, and Niger), and Nigeria and Camerun in the southern border of that subregion, are sharing the Jihadist terrorism as one among the most relevant obstacles to their stability, either in domestic or in regional terms. This paper is analyzing the evolution and trends of such threat.
