Colombia: Are we at the end of the tunnel? (DIEEEA04-2016)

The Colombian conflict, dating back to a peasant uprising half a century ago, has left more than 220,000 dead and about 6 million displaced. The Colombian government and the FARC begin 2016 sitting at the table negotiating a peace talks which started on October 17, 2012.. The year 2015 has seen important progress of sensing that the end of the conflict is soon, in 2016. Probably in the two months remaining until March the 23th, the date marked by President Santos for signature, essential details could be agreed upon, but it seems difficult to have a consensus text closed on time. In any case this will not imply that problems will disappear immediately: it is simply the beginning of a new and hopeful -but long- road to normality.
