The completion of the Myanmar-China gas pipeline (DIEEEI28-2013)

On 21 October the pipeline crossing Myanmar from the Bay of Bengal to Chinese province of Yunnan was completed and fully operational. With the construction of this gas pipeline along the pipeline, China diversifies its sources of energy supply, and more importantly, save the Strait of Malacca avoiding possible interruptions to energy supply. In addition, China is leaving gradually the consumption of coal that is causing so many problems of pollution.
