Security in Southeast Asia, China against all? (DIEEEO68-2017)

Southeast Asia region is undergoing an evolution in which China is the regional hegemon. The Armed Forces strength of the countries involved is a measure of its ability to influence in the area. In this field, no regional country can be compared with China, but agreements among themselves and with external actors (USA) could reduce this difference. The regional speech of Southeast Asia, with China more and more away from its neighbors and the U.S. role in doubt, is writing again now. Faced with this situation, it is interesting to study the capabilities and possible evolution of the Armed Forces in the area.
