Iran in the President Donald Trump' administration (DIEEEM19-2017)

Iran's regional leadership affects the interests of the West in the Middle East, especially those of US President Donald Trump' administration. Economic modernization and the management of energy resources are some of the great challenges that Iran faces.

While the nuclear pact hangs by a thread, the Islamic Republic approaches positions with the partners of the old continent in order to protect their commercial interests and avoid new sanctions that suffocate the interests of the Persian economy and the project of modernization of the country.

In terms of foreign policy, the multiple regional conflicts, in which Iran participates directly or indirectly: Yemen, Syria and Lebanon, and which face Shiites and Sunnis, affect the stability of the Fertile Crescent. The participation of Iran and the course of the clashes in favor of the Shiites, will mark a new road map in the future of the Middle East.
