Syria: Is the current opposition a viable option? (DIEEEO53-2012)

Within the movements occurred in what has been called "Arab Spring", the Syrian Arab Republic has become the cover of today. After the fall of the regimes of Tunisia, Egypt and Libya, all the international attention has settled in Syria. Country ruled by the Assad dynasty since 1970 and the Baath party only since 1963 on the grounds of the state of emergency. The opposition is trying to overthrow the regime, similar to neighboring countries, repression is increasing and is discarded by the time a foreign intervention, but ... Syrian political opposition is a credible option?
