Law 36/2015, national security (DIEEEO46-2016)

The new National Security Act is enacted within the framework of the National Security Strategy 2013, in order to define the bodies responsible for this policy, to establish preventive measures and to coordinate the management of state own resources and the ones provided when requested by local authorities and the private sector, to address the possible threats that face Spain, as an independent nation and also within the framework of international partnerships in which it is framed.

This coordination is especially necessary considering the administrative territorial division of the State designed by the Spanish Constitution, involving competition of three administrators:  state, regional and local, on the same territory.
